The red fox is the size of a medium-sized dog. It has an elongated face with an almost straight upper profile, pointed snout, large, triangular ears and a bushy tail with a white tip. It lives throughout the Iberian peninsula, and while it prefers a forest habitat it is increasingly to be found closer to human settlements, where it is easier to find food. It is a solitary animal, but after the breeding season a pair will remain together and take joint responsibility for the upbringing of the pups.
They use thier tails as a pillow.
